This detail illustrates the connection of the roof purlin to a hot-rolled endwall rafter in buildings with a liner panel or liner system insulation, including the flange brace clip, rafter flange brace, and rake angle along the roof edge.

The roof purlin spans along the endwall rafter, connecting through the liner panel using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (4) washers, one washer on each side of each bolt, clamping through the purlin web, liner panel, and rafter web.

Because the liner panel sits between the rafter and the flange brace, a flange brace clip (BC-46) is used as an intermediary attachment point. The clip is fastened through the liner panel to the rafter flange using (4) member screws, and the rafter flange brace is then bolted to the clip using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A325 bolts with (4) washers. A welded flange brace clip further along the rafter provides a second connection point for the same brace, using the same A325 bolts and washer pattern.

At the roof edge, a rake angle is installed along the top of the rafter to provide a finished edge and support for the roof panel termination, secured using (1) member screw SDS.
