This detail illustrates an alternate connection of the endwall girt and sidewall girt to the corner column, using welded clips and a 4" zee spanning the corner.
The corner column stands at the intersection of the endwall and sidewall. The endwall girt and sidewall girt each bolt to welded clips on the column using (4) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (8) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching each girt web against its clip.
Welded clips are shop-welded to the corner column ahead of time, giving each girt its attachment point without requiring separate fasteners to install the clips.
A 4" zee spans between the endwall girt and sidewall girt across the corner, fastened using member screw SDS with pre-drilled holes as required, tying the two girts together.
