This detail illustrates the connection of roof purlins on each side of an interior rigid frame rafter in buildings with a liner panel or liner system insulation, including the flange brace clip, rafter flange brace, and welded flange brace clip.

The rigid frame rafter runs through the interior frame line, with a roof purlin continuing across each side. Each purlin connects to the rafter through the liner panel using (6) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (12) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching the purlin web, liner panel, and rafter web together.

A flange brace clip (BC-46) is fastened through the liner panel to the rafter flange using (4) member screws, and the rafter flange brace is bolted to the clip using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A325 bolts with (4) washers. Refer to the rigid frame drawings to determine if flange braces are required on both sides of the frame.

A welded flange brace clip further along the rafter provides a second attachment point for the brace, using the same A325 bolts and washers.
