This detail illustrates the connection of a wall girt to a rigid frame column at the end of a sidewall condition, including the column flange brace and welded flange brace clip.
The rigid frame column forms the end condition of the sidewall. The wall girt connects to the column using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (4) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching the girt web and column web together.
A column flange brace is bolted to the column flange using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A325 bolts with (4) washers. Refer to the rigid frame drawings to determine if flange braces are required on both sides of the frame.
A welded flange brace clip, shop-welded to the column flange ahead of time, provides the attachment point for the brace, using the same A325 bolts and washers.
