This detail illustrates the connection of wall girts on each side of a rigid frame column using welded clips, without a flange brace at this location.
The rigid frame column stands along the sidewall line, with welded clips shop-welded to the column ahead of time, giving each wall girt its attachment point without requiring separate fasteners to install the clips.
Each wall girt connects to its welded clip using (4) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (8) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching the girt web and column web together.
