This detail illustrates the connection of the eave strut to the endwall rafter at the top of the endwall, including the installation of the rake angle.
The endwall rafter runs along the top of the endwall, forming the base member of this connection. The eave strut connects to the rafter using (4) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (8) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching the strut web and rafter web together.
The rake angle sits on top of the assembly and is fastened down using (1) member screw SDS, closing out the rake edge where the roof panel meets the endwall.
