This detail illustrates the connection of the door header and door jamb to a shared bolted header clip at a door opening.
The bolted header clip (BC-01) forms the base of the assembly, positioned at the top of the door jamb.
The door header sits against the bolted header clip and is bolted through using (2) 1/2" x 1" A307 fin head bolts with (2) washers, one washer per bolt, sandwiching the header and clip together.
The door jamb sits against the bolted header clip below the header and is bolted through using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (4) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching the jamb and clip together.
