This detail illustrates the connection of the door header and an adjacent wall girt to a door jamb, using bolted header clips at each side.
Bolted header clips (BC-01, typical) are positioned at the top of the door jamb, providing the attachment point for the jamb itself.
The door jamb is bolted through the clips using (4) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (8) washers, two washers per bolt, sandwiching the jamb and clips together.
The door header sits against one clip and is bolted through using (2) 1/2" x 1" A307 fin head bolts with (2) washers, one washer per bolt. A wall girt sits against the opposite clip and is bolted through using the same fin head bolt and washer pattern.
