This detail illustrates the connection of a door jamb to the eave strut using a flange brace. This connection is used at overhead door openings where the door jamb extends up to the eave strut level.
The eave strut is in place with the purlin attached. A flange brace clip (BC-46) is mounted to the eave strut. The eave strut flange brace spans from the clip down to the top of the door jamb, providing lateral bracing at the door opening.
The flange brace is secured to the clip using (4) member screws in roof color. The door jamb connection uses (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (4) washers.
