This detail illustrates the installation of sag straps on wall girts for both sidewall and endwall configurations. Sag straps prevent girts from rotating or deflecting under load and help maintain proper girt alignment.
For sidewalls, sag straps (BANDSW, 2" x 24 ga.) are installed on the inside of zee girts only, running from the eave strut down to the base. For endwalls, sag straps run from the rake angle down to the base on the inside of zee girts.
Each strap connection uses (2) Phillips pancake head screws at each girt.
