Trim 50

This detail illustrates the installation of jamb trim at a framed opening such as an overhead door or window. The detail shows how wall panels terminate at the jamb and how the trim components create a finished, weather-tight transition.

The wall panel is field cut or trimmed as required to fit against the jamb. The panel is secured to the structural girts using member screws at 12" on center in wall color. The centerline symbol indicates the location of the structural framing behind the panel.

The jamb trim (JA) wraps around the jamb, covering the edge of the wall panel and providing a finished appearance at the opening. The jamb cover trim is an optional field-installed component that covers the face of the jamb for a cleaner look.

The jamb cover trim is secured using member screws at 12" on center in trim color. The appropriate cover trim part number depends on the jamb depth: use Q370 for 8" jambs, AR371 for 10" jambs, and AR372 for 12" jambs.
