This detail illustrates the connection of wall girts to an endwall corner column where the sidewall and endwall meet at a building corner. This configuration shows how girts from both wall directions attach to the same corner column, with a specific field modification required for proper fit.

The corner column features welded clips on both flanges that provide connection points for the girts. The sidewall girt connects to the clip while the endwall girt connects to the sidewall girt, allowing both walls to be framed simultaneously at the corner location.

The sidewall girt connects to the welded clip using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (4) washers—one washer on each side of each bolt.

Important Field Modification: The sidewall girt requires a field cope (cut) of the top girt flange to allow it to fit properly against the corner column without interfering with the endwall girt. This cope should be made in the field during installation to ensure proper clearance and fit at the corner intersection.

When installing, first position and secure the endwall girt, then field cope the sidewall girt's top flange as needed before installing it against the welded clip. Ensure both girts are level and properly aligned before fully tightening all bolts.
