This detail illustrates the connection of wall girts to an endwall corner column where the endwall and sidewall meet at a building corner. This configuration shows how girts from both wall directions attach to the same corner column.
The corner column features welded clips on both sides of the web that provide connection points for the girts. The endwall girt connects to one clip while the sidewall girt connects to the adjacent clip, allowing both walls to be framed simultaneously at the corner location.
The girts connect to the welded clips using (4) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (8) washers—one washer on each side of each bolt.
A sheeting clip (BC-42) is also installed at the corner column. This clip provides a connection point for the wall panels at the corner, allowing the panel edges to be secured where they terminate at the column before the corner trim is installed.
When installing, position each wall girt against its respective welded clip and ensure both girts are level and properly aligned before fully tightening all bolts. This connection maintains structural continuity around the building corner while providing proper support for wall panels on both the endwall and sidewall.
