This detail illustrates the installation of a peak box at the intersection of the roof and endwall at the building's peak. The peak box (Q767) provides a finished, weather-tight transition where the rake trim meets the ridge cap.
The wall panels are installed on the endwall, and roof panels are installed on the roof slope, both terminating near the peak. The rake trim is installed along the roof edge at the endwall, covering the transition between the roof panels and wall panels.
The peak box (Q767) is a fabricated trim piece that caps the top of the rake trim at the ridge. It features the Armstrong logo and creates a clean, professional appearance at this highly visible intersection. The peak box must be installed after the rake trim is in place but prior to installing the ridge cap.
The ridge cap (not shown for clarity) is installed last and should be located at the steel line. The ridge cap overlaps the peak box, completing the weather-tight assembly at the building's peak.
