This detail illustrates the connection of endwall girts to a rigid frame rafter where the endwall meets the roof slope. This connection occurs at the top of the endwall where the wall girts transition to the underside of the roof structure.
The left portion of the detail shows the girt-to-rafter clip assembly. The clip attaches to the rigid frame rafter web using (2) 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts. A rake angle is installed at the steel line (set back 1/4" from the outer flange) and secured with (1) #12 x 1-1/4" SD screw. The purlin is shown above, connecting to the top flange of the rafter.
The right portion provides a larger view showing how the endwall girt (EW Girt) connects to the underside of the rigid frame rafter via the girt-to-rafter clip. The girt connection uses 1/2" x 1-1/4" A307 bolts with (2) washers.
This connection allows the endwall girts to support wall panels up to the roof intersection while the rake angle provides a finished transition between the wall and roof panel systems. During installation, ensure the rake angle is properly aligned at the 1/4" setback from the steel line to allow for proper panel bearing and trim installation.
