Roof Sheeting
Armstrong’s standard PBR roof panels come in 24ga or 26ga PBR. Armstrong’s preferred standard is a 26 gauge AZ 55 galvalume coated steel panel with a yield of 80,000 PSI and a deep corrugation of 1 1/4″. Panels are available in 36 color selections. Be sure to ask your dealer about Armstrong’s “Strong-Lok” Standing Seam Roof System. Armstrong’s PBR roof system comes with 1″ double bead mastic to ensure a water tight seal. Some competitors use an R panel with shorter overlap and less metal to metal contact as well as 3/8″ or 1/2″ wide flat mastic strip, increasing the risk that the screw used to fasten the panels together will miss the mastic allowing water and air penetration into the building.
Man Door Frame Opening
Man door framed openings vary by man door type, weight and size. Header, jamb and sill framing comes in hot and cold formed material. Cold formed C and Double C channel available in 10-16 gauge material and a variety of finishes. Hot rolled framing may be necessary in applications requiring stronger structural specs, such as bi-fold doors or buildings being erected in hurricane areas. Steel-framed openings are available to provide framing and support for wall accessory items not supplied. All framed openings come with a complete trim package to cover any exposed framing, giving the building a complete and finished look.

Premium Sculpted Gutters & Downspouts
Armstrong’s premium gutter and downspout system is your structure’s first line of defense against water ingress. Our system promotes proper drainage for your steel building. With a complete system from Armstrong Steel, you can channel runoff away from your structure and prevent stagnant water in parking lots and areas adjacent to the building. The use of gutters and downspouts is highly recommended!
Premium Trim
Armstrong’s comprehensive premium trim packages enhance the beauty of your building for years to come. Our premium trim packages are precision manufactured to exacting standards to ensure a secure fit. Alternatively, some companies supply trim packages that are of inferior quality. These substandard one-size-fits-all packages often times need to be modified on the job site, delaying construction and increasing labor costs. They may also fit improperly, which greatly detracts from the appearance of the building and leads to energy leaks as well as water penetration.
